KSP Increasing Patrols During The Holidays

From WFPL's Haley HartKentucky State Police will again step up enforcement during the busy holiday driving periods. The Christmas enforcement period runs from Christmas Eve through Sunday.KSP Lieutenant David Jude says the agency is participating in the “Over the limit, Under Arrest” campaign to curb drunk driving across the state.“The state police are taking a zero-tolerance approach to operators of vehicles who have had something to drink during this enforcement period. So, really what it’s coming down to is if you’ve had something to drink and we find out that you’re over the legal limit, you will go to jail,” Jude said.He says those who plan to consume alcohol should appoint a designated driver. He say troopers will also be on the lookout for aggressive drivers and motorists who don’t observe the state’s seat belt laws.
