Kyle Smith had never experienced a snowstorm before moving to Louisville three months ago. As the Dallas area native dealt with the snow on Thursday, he said he didn’t expect weather like this.
“The first one I stayed in. I didn’t have to work until a couple of days afterward so it was alright. This one caught me a little off guard,” he said.
After working third shift at his hospitality job, Smith returned to his apartment with plans to shower and head back to work, but his Suzuki Reno had other plans.
“I tried to park in my driveway and got stuck," he said. "I’m not used to all of this snow.”
Smith said it seems like roads were in better shape during the last snowstorm, and he’s unsure what the rest of his day will look like with such conditions.
Right now, he’s just trying to dig his car out of the snow.
“I should be able to get out, but I don’t think I’ll park at my house. I don’t know where I’ll park, though," Smith said.
And with no shovel, Smith said he’s ready for spring.
