Update 8:22 p.m.: University Close, Too
The University of Louisville will close on Thursday after all. Bellarmine University, Indiana University Southeast and Spalding University will also close Thursday.
Update 6:30 p.m.: More Closings
Louisville and surrounding areas are under a wind chill warning until noon Thursday. The National Weather Service forecasts the overnight low to be -10 with a wind chill as cold as -23; the high temperature Thursday is forecast to be 3.
The wind chill Thursday could be as cold as -26, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter weather concerns have again led to school closures in the Louisville area.
Jefferson County Public Schools will be closed Thursday, district officials announced during a Wednesday afternoon news conference. It'll be the fourth consecutive day of school closures, and the fifth for the school year.
"Weather conditions leave us no choice to make sure our students are safe," Superintendent Donna Hargens said, again urging students to continue education efforts during their time out of class.
The county's Catholic schools will also be closed Thursday, Mayor Greg Fischer said.
Update 12:38 p.m.: Road Conditions
Kentucky interstates in the Louisville area have been cleared of snow, a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokeswoman said. Crews are working to push away slush. She adds:
Update 7:20 a.m.: The Cold
The temperature was about 24 at 7 a.m. in Louisville--but it's forecast to reach 9 by Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The wind chill is forecast to be closer to -8. The forecast overnight low is -9 with a wind chill possibly dipping to -21; the high temperature on Thursday is forecast to be 6.
In its last update, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said state highways in the Louisville region ranged from partly to mostly covered in snow. Interstates were slushy but traffic was moving. Crews were working on the roads before the bitter cold sets in, because the deicing chemicals won't work in that type of cold, a cabinet spokeswoman said.
Louisville Metro crews started salting early Wednesday morning.
Earlier: The list of closed school systems in the Louisville area grew Wednesday morning following another round of overnight snow.
Oldham County Schools and New Albany-Floyd County Schools are closed Wednesday.
