Looking for Love in All the Green Places

"SWF ISO CO2-neutral SWM. Interests: composting, solar panels, Prius drivers...."OK, I made that up. But seriously, if you're single, care about the environment, and in search of the same in a mate, behold the bounty of the Web!Planetearthsingles.com proclaims "your true love awaits" at this "Green-Friendly" dating site. They say they're all about environmentalists, animal rights activists, and "vegetarians, vegans, and raw foodists."Then there's greensingles.com, a "vegetarian owned and operated community of singles." They've created a little green love empire, with a spin-off site called veggielove.com, where veggie singles "who seek and value a plant-based diet can meet and network for friendship, dating, [and] marriage."Earth Wise Singles branches out a bit more, welcoming not just "environmentally responsible adults," but also "friends of Mother Earth" and those interested in human rights and holistic medicine. At green-passions.com, you can even browse singles by interest group, including hybrid vehicles and hazardous waste (piqued my interest!).Want to fight global warming while you're surfing for a new sweetheart? Datefortrees.com will donate a tree to an American forest for every month you're a member. Of course, every month you're a member, you're probably wondering how many darn trees it'll take before you can sign off for good. But take heart! With so many options online, a greener date is out there somewhere! So, fire up that wind turbine in your back yard, power up your laptop, and go find the eco-mate of your dreams!
