Louisville Cardinals Overall No. 1 Seed in NCAA Tournament; Kentucky Wildcats Heading for NIT

The Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team will be the overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, heading to Lexington where they'll play Thursday against either Liberty or North Carolina A&T.In the Midwest Region, Louisville would play either Colorado State or Missouri in the second round. The Cardinalswon the Big East Tournamenton Saturday and enter the NCAA Tournament with a 29-5 record.  The Duke Blue Devils are the region's No. 2 seed.The NCAA Tournament bracket can be seen here.Update 6:15 p.m.:Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, winners of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, are a No. 16 seed in the South Region. They play Friday in Kansas City against the Kansas Jayhawks, the No. 1 seed.Update 6:23 p.m.:The Indiana Hoosiers will be the No. 1 seed in the East Region. IU will play Friday in Dayton, Ohio, against either LIU Brooklyn or James Madison. The Miami Hurricanes are the No. 2 seed in the East Region.Update 6:30 p.m.:The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the other No. 1 seed, in the West Region.The Kentucky Wildcats, last year's national champions, did not get an NCAA Tournament bidafter finishing 21-11 but losing in their first game of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.Update 9 p.m.:The Kentucky Wildcats will be a No. 1 seed in the National Invitation Tournament.Update 9:05 p.m.:The Wildcats will play on Tuesday against Robert Morris—at Robert Morris, in Pittsburgh.
