Louisville Church Holds Prayer Service For Haiti

People filled the sanctuary of a west Louisville church Saturday for pray for the victims of last week's earthquake in Haiti. The service was held at St. Martin de Porres Parish. It's congregation includes about two dozen Haitian families.Among the speakers at the interfaith service was the Reverend Celeve Izean of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, who's also a Haitian national. He said the tragedy is a reminder for all people to look out for one another."So if I can help you, you can help me too. It's not about Haiti, it's about brothers and sisters...take care of your brothers," he said. Many local Haitians are still awaiting word about the well-being of loved ones in the earthquake stricken area. Some are planning to return to Haiti to search for them.
