Louisville Continues Search For Corrections Chief

The search for a new Louisville Metro Corrections chief will go on for at least a couple of weeks while Mayor Jerry Abramson wraps up interviews for the position.Current Corrections Director Tom Campbell announced his retirement last month. His last day is tomorrow. Mayor’s office spokesperson Kerri Richardson says about two dozen people applied for the job, from both in and out of town."We are in the process of narrowing that down," says Richardson, "the Mayor is in the middle of doing interviews with a handful of candidates right now, we expect to have a replacement named in mid-October."Campbell has been Corrections Chief since January 2005. Before that, he’d served as state corrections commissioner. Campbell has been part of the search process for his replacement.
