A Louisville Metro police officer is recovering from a gunshot wound at University Hospital
Police spokesperson Alicia Smiley says the female officer was injured while on a call this morning in the Okolona neighborhood."We had an officer from our Seventh Division who responded to a domestic incident in the 7000 block of Ronwood about eight o'clock this morning. During the course of that response the officer was shot one time in the leg," Smiley said.The officer, whose name has not been released, is listed in good condition.Police Chief Robert White says she was shot as she struggled with a naked man who tried to wrestle her gun away from her.Three others were injured during the incident and are hospitalized.
