Louisville's First “Food Summit” on April 11

Public and private organizations are collaborating to hold Louisville’s first "Food Summit" on April 11. The panel discussions and breakout sessions throughout the day will examine the relationships between those who grow our food, those who sell it, and those who eat it. The idea, organizers say, is to encourage dialogue between all those groups in order to create a healthier food system that welcomes family-scale farming.Panelists will include farmers, farmers' market coordinators, grocery retailers, and community activists. The event, hosted by the Community Farm Alliance, is open to the public. And kids are welcome - there are special activities just for 6 to 13-year olds.Register here.
