McMahan Fire Chief Paul Barth has been supended without pay.The Courier-Journal reports that the board of the McMahan Fire Protection District also voted Tuesday night to hire an accountant to review documents that may show mismanagement of funds.A hearing related to Barth's status with the department has been scheduled for December 7.The McMahan Fire Protection District serves the Hikes Point community.Barth is also the liaison between suburban fire chiefs and Louisville Metro Government and is the chairman of the board of the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
