The University of Louisville women's basketball team defeated Vanderbilt 81-62 today in Cincinnati to advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament.The Cards were led by Monique Reid's 22 points. Tia Gibbs and Shoni Schimmel added 19 each. Louisville will face Xavier in second round play Tuesday.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
