New Hampshire Primary, Voter ID Debate: Today on Here and Now

1:06pm: Voters are heading to the polls today in the first-in-the nation primary. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has been the frontrunner, but former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and Texas Congressman Ron Paul have been making inroads after their strong finishes in Iowa. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was disappointed in Iowa, but he hammered Romney in the weekend debates, and former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman got the Boston Globe's endorsement. We'll talk about it this hour.1:12pm: Here and Now's Robin Young goes looking for the real story of this year's primary and finds Ron Paul supporters who love Dave Brubek, a Rick Perry fan who's looking for a job in a diner, a young man who has never worked on a campaign before making calls for Newt Gingrich, and 4 men from the Congo who support Mitt Romney.1:40pm: Voters in New Hampshire don't have to show any ID to cast their ballots in today's primary, but 30 other states do require identification before you can vote. Supporters of voter IDs say they prevent fraud; critics say they stifle voting. We check in with Doug Chapin of the University of Minnesota to get a better idea about how states around the country are handling the contentious issue.
