No Developers Yet for Former Colgate Factory

Officials in Clarksville, Indiana say the future of the property that housed the Colgate-Palmolive plant is still unclear. The factory’s 52- acre site has been stripped of equipment that was used to make toothpaste and other Colgate products. Clarksville Redevelopment Director Rick Dickman says the city would like to see the property become mixed-use."Residential, as well as commercial, small business office park, that type stuff.  It really isn’t about Colgate, it really is about the entire south end of Clarksville, all the way to the river," he said.Production at the plant ended in December. The factory’s historic 38-foot diameter clock will remain with the building.
