Nobel Laureate Dr. Richard Schrock will deliver two lecturesthis week at the University of Louisville. Schrock is a professor of chemistry at MIT. He and two other scientists received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2005 for their work on a process that has led to more efficient and environmentally friendly production of medicine, fuels and other materials.Schrock will speak Thursday and Friday at the Rauch Planetarium."The Thursday talk will be more about his research," says U of L graduate student Sebastien Laulhe, who is organizing the lectures. "Friday’s is about why he won the Nobel Prize in 2005. It will be a more general talk about his experience in a scientific career and maybe go through his experience as a Nobel laureate."The lectures are free and open to the public.
