Griffin McClure struck out 12 batters and provided the only run of the game as North Oldham defeated Keystone, Pennsylvania 1-0 in an opening round game of the Little League Baseball World Series tonight in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Thirteen year old Griffin’s first-inning home run was the only score of the game, played before a record crowd of nearly 42,000 and a national TV audience.

Two strong defensive plays at home plate prevented Keystone from tying the game.

North Oldham will face Huntington Beach, California in second round play Sunday at 6:00pm.
