Nursing Home Company Celebrates Move To Louisville

Signature HealthCARE has moved its headquarters from South Florida to Louisville.A grand opening celebration Monday marked the completion of the relocation announced in March.Signature HealthCARE operates 70 long-term care facilities in the southeastern U.S., with a workforce of more than 11,000. It's been described as one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S., and CEO Joe Steier says the move will allow Signature to keep pace with that growth."We think about America going from 34 million seniors to 70 million seniors, doubling over the next decade. seven billion people in the world, and two billion people become seniors in the next 15 years. This is not a local problem, it's not a state problem, its an international opportunity for our city to come together," he said. Signature says the move to Louisville has resulted in the creation of dozens of new front office jobs, growing to as many as 120, with an average salary of $75,000. The new headquarters is located on Bluegrass Parkway in Jeffersontown.
