Obama Returns To Indiana

For the second time this summer, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama will visit Indiana Wednesday.Obama’s last visit to Indiana was on July 16th, where he held a security summit at Purdue University. It was his first visit to the Hoosier State since the May 6th primary. This time, the candidate will hold a town hall meeting on energy policy in Elkhart, in the northern part of the state. Indiana campaign spokesperson Jonathan Swain says the cost of energy is a top issue this year.“The majority of Hoosiers like the majority of Americans are unhappy with the direction of the country and specifically the economy and that is exactly what he’s here talking about," he says.U.S. Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana will introduce Obama at the town hall. Bayh also appeared with Obama at Purdue last month and is reportedly on the short list of potential running mates.
