Officials: No Confirmed Swine Flu Cases In Kentucky, Indiana

Health officials in Kentucky and Indiana say they're prepared for the possible spread of swine flu into the region, but so far there have been no confirmed cases of the illness in either state.The acting head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Controlsays the number of U.S. cases has risen to 40.    At least one case has been confirmed in Ohio.    There have been no deaths from swine flu in the U.S. In Lexington, the Fayette County Health Department has established a hotline (859-288-7529) to answer questions about the outbreak.   Public health officials in Louisville and Frankfort have scheduled  news briefings today to talk about their preparations.
