The Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team advanced to the national championship game on Saturday night after defeating the Wichita State Shockers.

And, as expected, fans took to the streets throughout the city to celebrate.

The Cardinal Towne development was quickly flooded with students and fans after the game.

Here’s what it looked like:

Fans were celebrated in streets throughout Louisville, with reports of fired gunshots and burned mattresses and other objects, a MetroSafe supervisor told WFPL at 10:45 p.m.

Update: Just before midnight, MetroSafe says large crowds are still out through the city, but no major issues are being reported.
