Power Restoration Could Take 7-10 Days

Utility officials in Kentucky say crews are coming in from several states to help restore power lost in this week’s ice storm. The storms that hit Kentucky also struck Ohio, Indiana and other nearby states, which has left E-On U.S. without it’s usual complement of backup workers. ut Vice President of Energy Delivery Chris Hermann says E-On is getting help from states that haven’t been hard hit by winter storms.“We have 11 hundred more workers coming to support us out of Georgia, Alabama, Progress Energy in Carolina, Ducane Energy and out of Michigan," he says.E-On currently has 13 hundred crew members doing repair work throughout Kentucky. Hermann says it will take seven to ten days to restore power to all E-On customers.
