PRP Coach Pleads Not Guilty

Louisville Pleasure Ridge Park High School football coach Jason Stinson has entered a plea of not guilty to a reckless homicide charge in the heat-related death of one of his players.Stinson was indicted last week in the August death of 15 year old Max Gilpin.The sophomore PRP player collapsed during practice and died several days later.Stinson's attorney, Brian Butler, says the coach has no intention of entering into a plea agreement."Coach Stinson absolutely believes he’s innocent of these charges. This is a tragedy beyond belief for this family. His heart goes out to them. No one can put into words what it must be like to lose a child," Butler said.Stinson was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment in Jefferson Circuit Court. A pre-trial hearing has been set for March 20.
