Public Comment Sessions on Budget Begin Tomorrow

Two public comment sessions will be held this week for people to address Louisville’s Metro Council about the proposed city budget. The first one is tomorrow from ten to noon.Republican Caucus Chairman Steve Haag says sometimes it isn’t a one-way conversation.“Any of the presenters and speakers will have the opportunity to be questioned by the council people to be sure the council people get what their point is, and get any information they need as they begin budget deliberations in the coming week," says Haag.Another public comment hearing is set for Wednesday evening from six to eight.Haag says those who wish to address the council should arrive an hour early to sign up for a slot and each speaker will be limited to three minutes. The Metro Council will be in budget negotiations later this week.
