Public Forum Tonight Regarding Judy Green Charges

There is a public forum scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight to discuss the ongoing controversy involving councilwoman Judy Green, who faces two separate ethics charges, one of which was brought by Ray Barker, Sr. The  Metro Ethics Commission hasn’t made a decision in either of two cases, and has discouraged both Green and Barker from speaking publicly in the past. However, organizers have said it is important residents hear directly from those involved. The community discussion will be at 314 Dr. W.J. Hodge Street (corner of 21st & Jefferson Streets) where a so-called resolution has been planned at the end.Todd Mundt spoke on Here and Now today with Derek Barber, Vice President of American Slaves, Inc, who will moderate tonight’s discussion. They discuss the purpose and goals of tonight’s forum.
