Public Meeting To Be Held On Downtown Traffic Plan

The Louisville Downtown Development Corporation will host a public meeting Monday to get input on possible changes to downtown streets.Downtown Projects Coordinator Rebecca Matheny says The Corporation is working on a long-term plan that would turn some one-way streets into two-way streets."Shelby and Campbell on the east side of downtown," she says. "7th and 8th on the west side of downtown. We also think a number of the east-west streets make sense."Matheny says changing traffic flow on could enhance development on one-way streets and it could make downtown driving more efficient. Public comments on the plan will be taken during the meeting at Louisville Slugger Field. The meeting will be held from 3:30 until 7.
