Record Numbers Predicted At Kentucky Polls Tuesday

The Kentucky Secretary of State's office says a record number of Kentuckians could go to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots for president and other offices.Spokesperson Les Fugate says nearly three million Kentuckians are now registered to vote."We're expecting anywhere from 65 to 70 percent turnout. that percentage is not a record.   However, if we do reach 65 percent turnout, that will be the largest number of Kentuckians voting, ever. the percentage may not be the highest we've ever seen, but we do think it's possible we'll see a record number of Kentuckians going to vote," Fugate said Monday. In Jefferson County, officials say turnout could surpass 80 percent. The polls are open from 6:00am to 6:00pm local time across the state.
