Rescuing Animals

Rescuing Animals
Divorce, health issues the family can’t afford to address, a new baby, moving into a place where pets aren’t allowed – those are some of the most common reasons pets find themselves without a roof over their heads. And those are just the circumstantial reasons. There are also reasons related to the pet itself, like aggression, chewing, and other unwanted behaviors. Other pets end up in shelters after they’ve been rescued from abusive or neglectful environments. This Wednesday we’ll talk with animal rescue workers about the work they do, the pets they serve, how the whole thing works, and what health and temperament issues they commonly see, in a conversation about the world of animal rescue.
