Revive-65 Should Reach Final Phase By Friday

The main renovation work on I-65 between Fern Valley Road and the Watterson Expressway should be complete by Friday morning.Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesperson Andrea Clifford says the massive project that has resulted in lane closures for the last several weeks should reach its final phase Friday.“The bulk of the work, the mainline paving that is what has gotten the lanes restricted over the last couple of months, we expect all of that to be done by Friday morning," says Clifford, "if the weather and the temperatures for placing the asphalt all hold out.”Clifford says after the paving is finished, the contractor has until December 15th to complete guardrail installation and replacement of some bridge joints. She says that work will continue at night and on weekends, and should result only in minor disruptions.
