River Road Closed Due to High Water

After hours of rainfall Wednesday, the already-high Ohio River is expected to reach flood stage Thursday.Louisville Metro Government has issued the following statement about River Road: With the Ohio River rising, Louisville Metro Public Works has now closed River Road west of Third St. to 8th St. That section will be closed for rush hour traffic Thursday morning, and until further notice. At this point, it is expected that the Third St ramp will be open to traffic for Thursday’s rush hour, but with no right turn. Motorists will only be able to go south on Third and left on River Rd.
