UPDATE: Salmonella Concerns Prompt Widespread Recalls

UPDATE: Voluntary recalls of products which could be contaminated with salmonella continue to expand.  They now include peanut butter products from Kroger, Clif Bar, and more.  For the most up to date list, check the Food and Drug Administration's Web site.Michigan-based grocer Meijer has announced it is recalling two kinds of crackers as well as two flavors of Meijer-brand ice cream containing peanut butter from all of its stores, including those in Kentucky.  The retailer reported concerns that the products could be contaminated with salmonella, which can cause serious infections and even be fatal. Customers can return the products for a full refund or destroy them.  The Food and Drug Administration is still investigating what’s become a nationwide outbreak of salmonella cases.
