Forecastle Festival 2014 has wrapped up.

Here are reviews for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Music fans came to town to see nearly 60 bands perform on four stages scattered throughout Waterfront Park. There was face paint, tie dye, hula hoops, a huge Hunter S. Thompson puppet and more. Over the weekend, we talked to some of the festival goers about what Forecastle means to them.

Here is what they had to say.

“You have old school, rap, blues, there is a mixture of everybody here.” — Mike Riley, Independence

“When I am at Forecastle I see tons of crazy people and tons of old friends.” —  Brandy Bayers, Louisville

“My Forecastle is music, new music, more music, fun and more music.”  — Tina Blakeman, Shepherdsville

“My Forecastle is seeing awesome bands, getting a sunburn, drinking too much, eating too much.”  — Ron Hogan, Louisville

“If only Forecastle could be longer, and cheaper, or free.”  — Wes Laudeman, Louisville

“It’s just a place where people can get together and be loud.”  — Phil Carlson, Louisville
