Sister Cities

Thursday, June 26, 2008Sister Cities

If you've driven through the intersection of Grinstead Drive & Lexington Road, you may have noticed a group of signs bearing the names of foreign cities: La Plata, Argentina; Montpellier, France; Perm, Russia; Tamale, Ghana, and others. These are four of Louisville's sister cities - places across the globe with whom we've partnered to exchange ideas, culture, art, to foster economic development, and more. But we're not the only city with siblings. This Thursday we'll learn more about Sister Cities International, the group responsible for helping cities form these relationships with each other, in a show about sister cities.
