From Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeighKentucky Democrats will hold a unity rally Friday at state party headquarters in Frankfort. Governor Steve Beshear says now that the primary is over, it’s time for Democrats to put their differences aside and come together for the fall campaign."We’ll have several of the candidates, both winners and losers, that competed against each other in the primary. Our goal now shifts from picking our nominees for these offices, to trying to win that office in November. It’s going to be helped, that goal, if we all pull together and I think we will," Beshear said.Other top Democrats expected at the rally include Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford, who clinched the nomination for U-S Senate, and Owensboro Senator David Boswell, the nominee in the 2nd Congressional District race. Boswell faces Bowling Green Senator Brett Guthrie this fall. Lunsford will try to unseat U-S Senator Mitch McConnell.
