State of the News

This week in Derby City raised more questions than it answered. Political players gathered to sign a bill funding the bridges project, and the Metro Council weighed in. Will progress speed up, and will there be tolls? The Senatorial candidates have released their second-quarter fundraising numbers, with some startling disparities. How will those play out as the campaigns continue? How is Cordish spending city money, and should they have to tell us? And the Mayor's expected to make an announcement next week regarding his political future. What will he have to say, and what was he thinking when he uttered the now-infamous "poorer, blacker, and older," comment? These questions and more will be dissected this Friday on our weekly look at the State of the News.
