State Police Step Up Traffic Enforcement

From WFPL intern Haley HartThe Kentucky State Police are stepping up their traffic enforcement over the New Year’s holiday to combat drunk driving.KSP Lieutenant David Jude says the New Year enforcement period will run from Wednesday through Sunday.“We’re going to have as many troopers as we can have on the road this holiday season, eh, looking for aggressive drivers, people that have been drinking and driving—part of that, also, is going to be checkpoints," he says.In conjunction with the “Over the Limit, Under Arrest” campaign, Jude says anyone caught driving over the legal blood alcohol limit will be taken to jail.
