Analyzing Election ResultsAt last week’s Louisville Forum, a panel of political experts discussed this year’s presidential and senatorial elections. The panelists were writer and University of Louisville professor Ricky Jones, political writer Al Cross, Democratic political consultant Danny Briscoe, and Hunter Bates, former chief of staff to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell.The group discussed Kentucky’s voting habits and why the state favored Republicans in an election where most states went for Democrats. Jones and Cross offered their insights into why Kentuckians voted the way they did.
