The Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression will honor longtime social justice advocate Suzy Post in Louisville this week. And as soon as it became apparent that white parents were going to be sending their children there the whole chemistry in terms of the distribution of resources changed almost magically overnight," she said.Post also served on Louisville’s Human Relations Commission and is the founding director of the Metropolitan Housing Coalition. She will receive the Anne and Carl Braden Lifetime Achievement Award at the Alliance’s Annual Unity Dinner. The event will be held Saturday at Hotel Louisville beginning at 5 pm.

Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
