Apr 22 Local News First-Ever Riehm Award Given The Joan Riehm Environmental Leadership Award is named for the former Louisville deputy mayor who died in 2008, and was an advocate of green initiatives. The inaugural prize was given to University of Louisville administrator Larry Owsley. Among other things, Owsley oversees construction at U of L and was recognized for his work developing abandoned industrial and commercial land near the Belknap campus.
