Tandy Not Yet Endorsing In Mayor's Race

by Gabe BullardDemocratic mayoral primary runner-up David Tandy is not yet making an endorsement in the general election.Tandy lost his party's nomination to Greg Fischer, and in third place was Jim King. King's campaign manager says the candidate will support Fischer in the general election, but Tandy has declined to immediately endorse Fischer, saying he's loyal to his platform."We're certainly open to working with anyone who is willing to accept that and to embrace that and we will work with whoever is in a position to be able to do that," he says.Tandy raised less money than Fischer and King, but says his second-place finish speaks to the strength of his platform.Tandy did not say whether he would endorse Fischer or Republican nominee Hal Heiner, though Tandy and Heiner have worked together for several years in the Metro Council, along with King.
