PHOTOS-Tea Party Protesters Advocate Change, Revolution And Tax Reform

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in downtown Louisville Wednesday for one of the many so-called tea parties staged around the country. The tax day tea parties were organized to protest massive government spending on bailouts and the stimulus plan.At the local event in Jefferson Square Park,  many attendees held signs that advocated voting against politicians who supported such spending."I'm angry with them all. I would like…he would like…we would like to start a movement that says vote against every incumbent…yes," said Vince and Pat DePaloa.Walt Francis of Louisville says he supports more drastic measures.

"A lot of military people have given their death for this country," he says. "And if we have to shed some blood to take it back the way it should be, the way our founding fathers set it up under the Constitution, as a Republic."Event organizer Wendy Caswell says Francis does not speak for the majority of tea party participants."No radical stuff," she says. "I've tried to plan this as non-partisan and as legitimate as possible."Republican State Senator Dan Seum and GOP Metro Councilman Doug Hawkins were also in attendance. Caswell says the event was not affiliated with any political party or candidates.
