Thousands Without Power as Storms Hit Louisville

Several thousand LG&E customers are without power after storms blanketed the Louisville area. The storms were not as severe in many areas as previously predicted. Officials in Louisville were on alert early in the day, since similar weather patterns led to devastating storms further west. Many of the heaviest power outages in Jefferson County are in the area between interstates 264 and 265.
