LISTEN: What Being Homeless Means For Foot Health

Lisa Gillespie

Rows of tables were set up with homeless service providers on Wednesday at the Salvation Army in Louisville. It was a day to help connect homeless people with housing, food, jobs and other social service programs. As WFPL’s Lisa Gillespie reports, volunteers also washed the feet of those attending — in a recognition that foot health issues ranging from blisters to diabetes often plague the homeless population. Listen to the story in the player above.
