Tourette Syndrome

Tourette Syndrome

Do you know someone with Tourette Syndrome? Would you be surprised to learn you might not be able to tell just by looking? The media tends to portray extreme examples of persons living with Tourette's (remember the St. Elsewhere episode?), but in reality, the "tics" associated with this neurological disorder can range from throat clearing to punching oneself. But regardless of the severity, for Tourette Syndrome the "tics" are repetitive, unvoluntary and often vocal. Join us on Tuesday when we learn more about Tourette Syndrome from guests treating the syndrome and living with it every day.
