Local health officials continue to urge people to practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of the H1N1, or swine flu virus.Louisville Department of Public Health and Wellness Director Dr. Adewale Troutman says a vaccine for the virus has not been developed."This is a brand new virus, this H1N1. When and if a vaccine is produced for it, as was pointed out earlier, you would actually have to get two vaccines this coming year," Troutman said today on WFPL's State of Affairs program. "One for the normal seasonal flu, and one for this vaccine."There have been one confirmed and six probable cases of the illness in Kentucky and three confirmed cases in Indiana.Troutman says regional health districts across Kentucky have received their allotment of medical supplies that would be needed in the event of a public health emergency.
