U of L Audit Concludes

An audit of the University of Louisville’s grant management process has not revealed any major procedural flaws.The accounting firm Cotton and Allen was hired to conduct the audit during an investigation into former Education Dean Robert Felner. He was indicted last month in connection with his handling of federal grant money while at U of L.Cotton and Allen partner Dub Newell says the probe found that U of L’s grant management system wasn’t particularly vulnerable to abuse“We have found that the overall controls around grants management are consistent with what we have seen at other research universities," he says.A more detailed account of the audit is expected soon, but Newell said there’s no timetable for the report.
