U of L Could Become Bowl Eligible Saturday

By Sheila AshThe University of Louisville football team could become eligible for a bowl game for the first time in four years with a win this Saturday. After two straight games on the road the Cardinals will host the University of South Florida.Speaking Monday at his weekly press conference, Coach Charlie Strong says the Bulls are playing very well."And they are an experienced team. You look at their quarter back who was a starter last year similar to our quarterback who was a starter. So they have enough in place where this is going to be a really good challenge for us…a tough challenge for us," he said. South Florida leads the series against the Cardinals 4 to 3, with all of each team’s victories coming at home. The Cardinals snapped their 11 game Big East road losing streak with a 28 to 20 win at Syracuse last Saturday.
