In college football, the Louisville Cardinals defeated Rutgers 16-14 tonight at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.U of L’s scoring came on a Dominique Brown run in the first quarter and a 52 yard field goal by Chris Philpot in the third quarter, followed by a touchdown pass from Teddy Bridgewater to Michaelee Harris.The Cards improve to 3-4 on the season; they’ll host Syracuse next Saturday.Kentucky returns to action tomorrow in Lexington, facing Jacksonville State. Indiana is on the road tomorrow at Iowa.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
