U of L Meets Pitt Sunday

The U of L men’s basketball team returns to action Sunday, when they’ll face fourth ranked-Pittsburgh.Cards’ coach Rick Pitino says the Panthers are a strong rebounding team that doesn’t make many mistakes.Pitino says he’s happy with the Cards’ progress despite an injury-plagued season, and his team is the healthiest it’s been all year. Sophomore Guard Mike Marra suffered a serious ankle sprain early in the season. He says he’s still recovering but able to play."It’s been tough for me, I mean I’ve been playing hurt the whole year. So it’s been hard. So there’s no excuses there; I’m able to get out there and run," he said. The Cards are currently ranked 16th in the country and are in third place in the Big East Conference standings, led by Pitt.Today’s tipoff is at 2:00pm at the KFC Yum! Center.
