West Louisville H1N1 Clinic Set For Tuesday

Another public vaccination clinic for H1N1 will be held Tuesday in west Louisville.Health department spokesperson Kathy Harrison says about three thousand doses of the vaccine will be available for distribution at the New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 South 34th Street, from 3-7pm, or as long as supplies last. The doses are intended for people at high risk of contracting H1N1 flu or complications, but others won't be turned away.Harrison says the department hopes to soon be in a position to hold clinics for the public at large."Our next big task is going to be schools. We're going to be going into schools, both private/parochial and public schools, and that is a big task we have in front of us, it will take all hands on deck. Then depending on the vaccine supply, we may have more community-wide clinics," Harrison said.School vaccinations are scheduled to begin the week of November 30.
