White Seeks Vote Fraud Probe of Former Sen. Bayh

The chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party is dismissing a claim made by embattled Republican Secretary of State Charlie White as “reckless and ridiculous.” In documents filed Tuesday in Marion County, White (pictured) asks that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate the Bayhs for vote fraud. He claims the former senator and his wife voted in the May Indiana Democratic primary but reside in Washington, D.C.Evan Bayh declined to comment, but Indiana Democratic Party Chairman Dan Parker says the former senator never gave up his Indianapolis home and voted legally. He called White’s complaint ‘sad’ and said he should resign.White himself is facing trial on vote fraud and other charges for using his ex-wife’s address on a voter registration form and faces removal from office if convicted. His attorney says White, in making the claim, is trying to make a point that the charges against him are politically motivated.
