Winter Storm Update: 5pm

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 4am until 7pm Thursday, as a winter storm spreads snowfall over the region beginning tonight. The snow is expected to begin early Thursday morning, tapering off to flurries in the mid to late afternoon. There might be some additional light snow in the evening in southern Indiana. The latest prediction is for 2-5 inches of snow across central Kentucky and southern Indiana. In Louisville, the forecast is for 3-4 inches of snow accumulation.Along with the snow, there will be very cold Arctic air, with northwest winds around 15 mph, causing the snow to blow and drift, reducing visibility. Road conditions will likely deteriorate during the day Thursday. NWS Winter Storm Warning
